Timon

My first self-published graphic novel Timon is a comic rendition of an ancient Greek satire (translated by classicist Samuel Reich). The two of us worked together to produce a work that was both highly entertaining while true to intent of Lucian. The books will be hitting the market in December.

Hunter Mulligan and the Lost Kingdom

The first book I’ve written and illustrated myself. This children’s book is an exploration of Jesus’ parables and teachings through the eyes of a group of kids who take the idea of a heavenly kingdom literally and go on a treasure hunt in their town.

I developed this book in college and am proud to finally make it available to all.

In addition to an exciting story, each page contains hidden illustrations of over 115 of Jesus’ teachings. Young readers will enjoy exploring the story along with all the extra details to explore.

To request copies for a church or ministry event please visit our church website here.

Digital Illustrations

I’ve been able to practice synthesizing ideas into art by listening to songs and illustrating them. These digital illustrations (made with the Procreate app) were done solely for personal enjoyment but remain some of my proudest work.

Fairytale Watercolors

What better way to explore dip pen and watercolor than inventing fairytale scenes? Here are selections from three series, Beauties and Beasts, Monks and Monsters, and Book Illustrations.

Saints

Faithful lives or imaginative legends, this recent set of digital portraits highlights various stories from throughout church history that have inspired me in some way or another. Pictured: Blandina, Simeon Stylites, St. Christopher, Francis of Assisi, St. Nicholas, Perpetua, and Martin Luther.

Sonnets

Heroes, Cowards, Lovers, Kids, and Kings is my collection of self contained narrative poems. I use sonnets as a way to explore timeless themes of love, loss, and life together. Colorful characters and clever rhyme make reading and exploring these stories and adventure in and of itself.

Pig and Back Comics

My first large scale project began in 2020 when I launched Pig and Back Comics, a webcomic based on the songs we sing at my summer camp. The weekly practice of illustrating a song helped my hone my skills and showed me how much consistent work can improve one’s Art.

Bible Women

I was asked to illustrate several Bible stories. Each containing a well known godly woman. I used the opportunity to explore different styles of digital art. Shown here: Mother Mary, Mary and Martha, Deborah, Esther, and Lady Jerusalem (not a real person but related).

Harvest House

The Harvest House is a Halloween Allegory. Anathema Bones is a walking skeleton who wants to know what it means to be Alive. But, when Mr. Bones encounters the mysterious Carver he discovers that Life means more than he ever imagined.

Sam the Strong

Sam The Strong is written by Travis Woronowicz and illustrated by me. My first published book, it tells the story of Sam, a brave little boy who goes on a wild adventure to Mars and discovers where his strength truly lies.

Poetry Illustrations

I was hired to illustrate a collection of humorous poems about everyday life (to soon be compiled in a collection). It was fun to experiment with a simpler art style using only black and white lines.

Hands Feet and Eyes

Hands Feet and Eyes, my first musical album, emerged from the pandemic as a collection of energetic ukulele songs.

Camp Art

Summer camp at Deerfoot Lodge has inspired much of my art including two attempts at Oil Painting.

Global Sketchbook

I have often kept a sketchbook as I’ve explored and traveled. Whether it’s Italy, Germany, or right here in Albany, sketching helps me see the little details in the big pictures around me.

Discrimination Study

One of my first paid illustration jobs was a set of graphics for a study reporting on links between discrimination, depression, and resilience through community. It was also my last project before I began making my digital art on the iPad.
